Kare 11 Recognizes Pause 4 Paws
GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. – Pause 4 Paws, 501c3 is a nonprofit organization founded in 2010, and managed 100 percent by volunteers. Jill Goldstein and Erica Goetzman are founding members whose organization supports 18 non-profit rescue organizations in Minnesota.
Their mission is to stop the suffering and unnecessary death of dogs and cats by offering an infrastructure of support to rescue organizations by providing money for medical expenses, spay and neuter programs, education, food, supplies, and networking.
Their work serves hundreds of dogs every month and has reduced euthanasia rates in shelters significantly based on the networking and financial services they provide.
Unfortunately, the need still outweighs the resources available. Pause 4 Paws actively supported the Breeder Bill signed into law by Governor Dayton on May 20th, 2014, which requires oversight of breeders in Minnesota in order to ensure humane practices.
Over-population, abuse, and neglect continue to be a huge problem in Minnesota. Financial donations and in-kind donations are always needed, daily.
