University of Minnesota Performs First Pacemaker Surgery on Mouse
Another win for cats with health problems that would have gone with care! Thanks to the University of Minnesota veterinary cardiologists, who performed the first ever surgery in the state, “Mousey” can now enjoy a healthy heart and longer life. Companies like Medtronic donate pacemakers for dogs and cats which makes the procedure much more affordable for pet owners, as this surgery is typically not covered in pet insurance. Mousey is now expected to live another 10 years.
